My stammer, my public speaking asset
In this episode, Dr. Jessie Bwanali talks about how her stammer has now become her asset as a speaker now that she's learned to manage it.
Jessie is a molecular virologist working as a business development manager for a drug discovery organisation. Jessie is also a keen Toastmaster having discovered it 10 years ago whilst seeking support for her stammer. She’s currently a member of Pegasus Speakers Advanced Toastmaster’s club where I’ve had the great pleasure of being Jessie’s mentor.
In this episode Jessie covers the following topics:
- The experience and challenges of having a stammer
- Finding solutions and support
- How to support others with stammers
- How to manage a stammer and why it’s become an asset for Jessie
